Spoke Protectors

Universal Spoke Protectors

Simple but effective solution to them untidy or rusty spokes on your bike is the plastic basic £3 spoke protectors that come in packs of 72 and you cut to size.

They are just a elegant way to enhance the wheels on Adventure Bikes for sure, yep it is a each to there own solution but for me its one that works so well and helps keep things looking good too. They do take a little time to install, a couple of hours from start to finish, that included cleaning the wheels spokes and cutting then fitting these all, but they are simple to do and just take time that’s all, but the end result really pays off I think.

They come in a few different colours and pricing seems to range from £3 – £10. I found someone selling mine on Facebook Marketplace with a £3 for the pack collected locally, so made sense as most other places were around the £6 – £10 and they all look the same, for me black was the colour of choice and it paid off well. I can’t fault these items at all, just do what they meant to and tidy them spokes up and can see them lasting well too but at the price its worth it no matter what ah. Grab some if you have spoke wheels and match them colours well 🙂 10/10 for price, looks and a 8/10 for fitting as do take a while to get them on.

Used these myself and they do help a lot with protecting the spokes, just give a good layer of say ACF50 then add these to help stop dirt corroding spokes.

Guess these are easy to cut down to size.
